IOWA
and the U.S. Naval Sea Cadets
Trademark 2002
More great photographic moments captured by HSMPS photographer Jeremy Bonnelle along the parade route are represented below. These shots are both pleasing to the eye and insightful into what is a true community endeavor this project is.
HSMPS
is lucky to have as a coordinator, along with John Carlson, Merylin Wong.
Merylin has volunteered full time to see the effort through. She often
acts as our OOD (officer of the deck) for many events. Thank you
Merylin!
Here
is another great aspect, this photograph from Columbus Day Parade (2002). The Honor
Guard, proudly shows the colors. For this parade, almost 40 sea cadets mustered
to once more show the community our pride in the project and the ship. You
can't say enough about these young people, how proud we are of these cadets.
Opposite
the reviewing stand, LTJG Gumba salutes. He is accompanied on the far left
by Sea Cadet Officer B. Shannon. This is where the awards are
determined, and HSMPS is proud of the fact that we have always placed highly in
our category. There is a spirit and commitment that comes out at each and
every parade, and it just gets stronger and stronger.
